Beef: Paparazzi
Why do all those photographers chase celebrities?
I for one am obsessed with celebrities because of their fame. Although, I am disgusted at when I see a celeb in a magazine at home or with their significant other. I wasn't always like this. I was once caught up with how celebs are like real people and do regular things. However, songs by eminem "Way I am", The accident with Princess Di and recent television specials about paparazzi changed my mind. I saw Rebecca Romajn stamos being verbally assaulted outside of her premier movie. She was late getting the the theatre, so she had to wait a few minutes before she got into the door. Apparently she was not dressed in a sharp dress or anything so she didnt feel like posing for the cameras. Thus, some photographers were calling her to pose. There was probably 10-15 cameras flickering as she had a sad expression on her face. Then one man called her a bitch for not posing. Soon after he got irritated, he said, "alright guys tomorrow we're going to stand in front of her house and wait for her to come outside." I was so appauled at this remark. It sounded like a threat. I would be scared for my life. But what really pissed me off was when a cameraman said, "You bitch, no wonder you husband left you!" I don't know how low you can get, but that was a low blow. I have no respect for the paparazzi. Thank God, celebs are fighting back, ie. Randy Johnson incident in NYC. I hope more of it continues. If I ever see a camera man following a celeb, I'll stop them in their tracks, so the celeb can get away. I hope others will follow.
