Part One: 1-24 Lets start with an Intro to the League.
Travis- the League Commish for all of the years has always been in middle contention but falters. He knows a lot about baseball compared to many Managers however can never put together good trades to improve his team. Non-Threat
M.Barbin- Critically debated as the best all around Fantasy Sports Manager of our group. He always seems to be in contention every year. He has racked up a few championships as well. Always interested in a trade to improve his team and always informed. Knows whats going around the real leagues and always has a keen eye on sleepers. Threat
Brendon- Always with the giggiest Fantasy Sports names in History which have obvious meaning; Stone of Jordan(on), Billy's Deciples etc. Knows baseball well but usually drafts "his" players/sleepers only. Some of his favorites are Jason Giambi, Kevin Millwood, Juan Gonzalez. Always an upbeat manager with (rip) trade on his mind. Threat
Chin- Mostly subtle at times but does have some fantasy baseball knowledge. Although a real life fan of all sports. Usually doesn't do quite well in Fantasy Leagues but did have a great stint in Fantasy Hockey awhile ago. Non-Threat
Seb- Very athletic individual who plays all sports. His favorite pastime would be focussing on the not so sport competition of WWE wrestling. He is a tough Fantasy Sports manager and can be up in the standings of many Sports Leagues. Threat
Zul- N/A
Kou- Me. "Always makes it, then loses" Non-Threat
Hugh- The most ragged fantasy manager of All-Time. Although he plays hard each Fantasy Baseball season, he manages to draft the stupidist players ever and usually winds up dead last. This year he had a decent draft but will probably not win. Non-threat.
1. Alex Rodriguez- Good Pick
2. Vladimir Guerrero- Travis you may have picked a better all around player
3. Albert Pujols- Obvious snag by Hugh, after Travis left him out to grain, it makes me wonder why Travis wouldnt go down to like 3rd-4th overall pick.
4. Carlos Beltran- Obvious pick
5. Miguel Tejada- Seems wierd picking a flagship player who can't hit 40 homeruns.
6. Alfonso Soriano- Seb, will Soriano pick up to his days in a Yankee uniform, who knows, this guy should go in the first round somewhere, you might or might of had no other option at your position.
7. Johan Santana- Could he be the Halladay of 2004? Who knows But he is healthier than Randy Johnson, so I chose him over the other cruddy choices out there in terms of bat's.
8. Randy Johnson- Brendon Had to pick him either now or his 9th pick.
9. Manny Ramierez- He is an elite OF, usually a good DH but has not been his best in awhile. gaurenteed 40+ homeruns if healthy. Brendon picked two great guys in their respective spots.
10. Scott Rolen- I was thinking of Todd Helton at the time comparing power numbers, however at the last second i chose rolen in terms of base and his lineup position.
11. Ichiro Suzuki- A great hitter but because of OF split seeing different type of hitters go early is expected. May have gone a bit early.
12. Eric Gagne- WAY TOO EARLY was probably to go in the late second round. There were much better choices ahead and closers this year are better than choices of previous. So snagging him early was not a good choice.
13. Todd Helton- He slipped a bit further from my place but Barbin got him in his spot. Helton has been removed as a premier first rounder to a mid second rounder.
14. Adrian Beltre- Wow hes an amazing player that broke out last season with amazing numbers, however we'll have to see if he continues his amazing numbers. Worth in this spot if he repeats.
15. Tim Hudson- Wow, this guy is chosen way too early. Travis sees Hudson as the third best Sp in all of MLB. Although he was picked early he can be a 20 game winner in Atlanta.
16. Bobby Abreu- Similar to Vlad and Beltran however just less of a brand.
17. Jason Schmidt- Excellent pitcher when healthy, hopefully he'll be good enough this year to justify his draft spot.
18. Mark Teixeira- Hmm... does Travis see his stock rising for chosing him over Ortiz and Thome? We'll see, but if he only repeats his numbers from 2004 he was picked way too early.
19. Curt Schilling- Very injury prone, but did manage great numbers in 2004. Justifiable pick at this spot but a serious risk.
20. Barry Bonds- All managers were seeing how far bonds could be pushed down the list. Barbin truely is brave for taking a chance on Bonds. However, right now it seems like a wasted pick even if he comes back at the break. Could go way later.
21. Miguel Cabrera- Wow another Miguel, Collect them all... Anyways hes a great all around hitter but tends to just swing a lot judging by his K's.
22. David Ortiz- Seb picked a guy with Massive power, and sense of clutch hits judging by his RBI's. Will repeat for the Red Sox.
23. Jim Thome- 1b and 1b, wow, could have waited but maybe not, Brendon loves Thome so I had to get him before he picked.
24. Gary Sheffield- One of the best bats in the past years, however aging and playing on the yankees only deminishes your stats a bit, judging by A-rod. Although still a great outfield choice that has slipped by a few slots.
Overall the Best Teams in order are: Las Vegas Ludacris, Billy's Deciples, Z-Unit, Le Moyne Dolphins, Team Travis, Team Barbin, Pittsburg Perkins, ____________.
This was based on containing: An Elite Pitcher, 40+ Homerun Bat, and picking a guy at there spots.
